La bellezza è nel colore is not just the name of this penthouse but also the concept upon which its design is based: a perfect balance of bold color palettes, fine materials, and meticulously crafted details.
The owner, a young entrepreneur in Milan, desired a home that was both sophisticated and welcoming. Curated by Pelizzari studio, The design followed this principle, harmonizing custom-made furniture pieces with innovative solutions. The result is a space that embraces and surprises, blending functionality with beauty.
In the living area, the grey lacquered bevelled wood wall discreetly conceals storage compartments and serves as the perfect backdrop for the large Bang & Olufsen screen. The generously proportioned sofas pair with a majestic acid-etched brass coffee table, reflecting the rich hues of the velvets and creating a dynamic interplay of light and color.
The true focal point of the apartment is the night corridor, transformed into a private art gallery. Here, the precious autographed lithographs by Picasso, created during the preparation of “Guernica,” are displayed. Thoughtfully designed lighting and the subtle color nuances of the walls create an immersive atmosphere, enhancing the value of these artworks.
The interplay of colors, textures, and materials is the essence of this project, where light is used to accentuate surfaces and define spaces. The incorporation of brass, eucalyptus wood, velvets, and artistic glass transforms every corner of the home into a unique visual experience, making La Bellezza è nel Colore a true manifesto of contemporary living.
