Design Shooting – 3rd edition

Design Shooting is a cultural format conceived and promoted by Ideal Standard, in collaboration with TOWANT, which this year saw its third edition in Milan. The initiative consists of an exhibition-event, offering an interesting opportunity to immerse oneself in the world of contemporary architecture through the strictly personal lens of talented photographers. Design Shooting represents for Ideal Standard, world leader in the production of high quality contract and residential bathroom solutions, an opportunity to promote new languages and artistic initiatives, remaining faithful to its commitment to dialogue with the world of architecture and design.

This year the initiative involved 16 photographers who, in collaboration with 16 design studios, created shots that express contemporary architecture with an original, new and artistic look. Each photographer involved was asked to give his or her own interpretation of a project by the architecture studio with which they were paired, taking a shot of the building site with the aim of rendering with their own artistic sensitivity the essence and inspiration that guided the architect in its realisation. The result of this synergy is an original and inspiring photo exhibition that was displayed at the oTTo space in Milan. Visitors had the opportunity not only to admire the images on display, but also to be actively involved and vote for their favourite photo. The three most voted images and the organisers’ judgement decreed that the winning photograph was the one taken by Natalia Garcia at the construction site of the GR/2 Apartment in Milan by Studio dxp architects.
