Garden beyond the clouds, a project with Steel Group

Garden Beyond The Clouds is a residential complex in Cremona designed by the Arkpabi studio based around a stilt structure that links earth and sky in an interplay of transparencies and contrasts of fullness and emptiness. The use of glass, steel and corten makes the complex, which also houses the Allianz offices, an innovative and original design project where light and transparency are the focal points. Steel Group, thanks to its great experience in working with steel, corten, brass and other metals, has realised, based on the studio’s design, the living module of the outdoor area, which represents a connecting element, capable of connecting the indoor spaces with the outdoors and creating an environment that can be used all year round.

Steel Group also custom-made the design staircases in metal, brass and glass, as well as the windows and doors with a brass frame, and the interior windows, which were made with extra-clear glass, brass profiles and frames fixed between the floor and ceiling. The company, thanks to its own brand Metalli d’Autore, supplied various furnishings such as armchairs and sofas in soft leather, the Skin table in the meeting room of the Allianz offices, also in soft black leather with stainless steel inserts and a mirror base with polished metal stems. The interior design also includes Lumière, an innovative multi-purpose metal object that when closed is an elegant piece of furniture, but when open reveals its secret function as a motorised TV box. Great versatility is the main feature of another Metalli D’autore product used in the project, namely Gualander, a freestanding metal storage unit characterised by a vertical structure with sliding hooks that makes it a furnishing and design element suitable for numerous uses.
