Planit, a company that manufactures washbasins, bathtubs, shower trays and contemporary bathroom furniture in Corian®, provided its products in Alessia Mainardi Interiors’ exclusive project for the Villa Las Candelas in Ibiza.
Surrounded by verdant hills, this villa is characterised by open spaces, minimal and square lines, high ceilings, and wide staircases leading to the five rooms, each with its own bathroom. For these rooms, the designer chose Planit shower trays in Corian® Glacier White model Linea, thermoformed and non-slip, made to measure with flush installation and with an elegant removable shower tray cover.
Based on the designer’s design, the company produced the thick bathroom tops with built-in towel rails and drawers with 45° closing on the edge of the top. Finally, the Libra washbasins integrated underneath the worktop, characterised by rounded corners and customised length and width, and the round Concave 1 and oval Concave2 washbasins, resting on a support ring. The proposals are completed by wall-mounted taps, while all bathroom elements are made of Glacier White Corian®.
Using products in Corian® enables the creation of compact, continuous, resistant and design-versatile surfaces. This material, which falls into the solid surface category, is composed of one third transparent acrylic resin and two thirds natural minerals. It is ideal for clean and hygienic surfaces because it is non-porous and the joints are imperceptible.
