At the 2024 edition of Cersaie, Ponte Giulio will present the ‘safe shower’ project that has just been awarded an Honourable Mention on the 70th anniversary of the Compasso d’Oro, an award from ADI, the Industrial Design Association. SOLO Shower conceived by designer Mirko Rogora has received this special certificate of merit because it has been recognised as a project of ‘superior quality’ and deserving of special prominence for its innovation, originality and style.
Underlying Ponte Giulio’s project is the idea of rendering a product in a different light so that it can take on new functions. To make this possible, it was important to understand the needs of users, to understand the transformations in our society and to make an appropriate synthesis.
Solo Shower therefore stems from the awareness of greater safety and protection in an area of the bathroom, the shower, where many risks are concentrated, especially for the elderly. It was the intelligent use of new materials that won the ADI Design Index award, for a project that combines craftsmanship, culture and vision, while also narrating a present in which circularity has become an ethical imperative.
SOLO Shower is a system of coordinated elements – shower sets, shower columns, handles and accessories – designed to configure a shower area and make it absolutely safe. All items meet quality and safety standards and help to avoid the dangers of falls caused by sudden slips.
The bar that makes up the sliding rail prevents scalds thanks to an innovative safety system that prevents the heat from rising above 38°C, thus allowing you to hold on safely with a load capacity of over 200 kg.
The SOLO Shower is also a winning solution from an ecological point of view because, thanks to its stainless steel composition, it guarantees great durability and a long product life cycle.
